Connection Required	CaseBoard requires Google Drive to add or edit data. Your case data saves to your personal Drive. If you have Gmail, you already have Drive - just click "Connect to Google Drive" when prompted (takes 5 seconds).
Why Required?	Drive is CaseBoard's database - your data lives there, not on your device. This means your cases are accessible on any device, and you won't lose work if a device crashes.
Token Expiration	Google's security disconnects you periodically (~1 hour). This is Google's policy, not a CaseBoard limitation. When it happens, just reconnect (takes 5 seconds) - no data loss.
Offline Use	You can view case data offline, but forms are disabled until reconnection. This prevents data conflicts and keeps your information safe.
Storage Impact	Minimal. Even 100 cases at 40-100KB only totals 4-10MB. This equates to less than 0.1% of the 15GB of free storage included with Google Drive.
Media Files	CaseBoard does NOT store photos, videos, or documents. To link to files, upload them to your Google Drive, right-click and select Share → Copy link, then paste the link into the URL/Link field. Web links (https://) also work directly.
Why This Design?	Multi-device safety (no conflicts), speed (stays fast with hundreds of items), flexibility (organize files your way), and efficient storage use.
